I want to put marble in my kitchen, I have two boys, does marble gets damage easily?
I have heard that marble countertops stain? Do you have any advice?
Is this honed or polished marble? Which is better for the kitchen?
Marble is porous & will stain & etch. Any acids will damage the tops. ( lemon, lime, tomato sauce, coffee, oj, coke etc ) If marble to be used in Kitchen use HONED... its forgiving to the etching. Sealers have come a long way in "helping" with the staining. If you like the look of marble but not
yes, on the marble. get a sample of carrera, stain it and try the soft scrub with plastic wrap solution. It is effective and doesn't damage the stone.

marble is too soft to use as a bench without metal brackets
Marble looks beautiful in showers, but it's too soft to use by itself in a shower bench's construction. The same is true of wood. These benches need the help of a metal bracket or custom metal tubing.

What is the name of this marble? beautiful!
Hello Cindy, it is Carrara Marble tile. Our source was Ann Sacks, but there are lots of other manufactures that have similar tile.
Hi! Is that Carrara marble from Daltile? Thanks
Check with ... they offer a range of subway tiles for example 3x6" starting from $7.00SF and up to only $8.00SF for the 6x12". Incredible Italian marble for a fraction of the cost you would pay at any showroom. The showrooms as mentioned above sell by "THE PIECE" that is 8 pieces for one square foot
Thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we don't have record of the exact grout color, but it is a light grey that is picking up the mid tones of the marble.
