Hi Gloria, This bathroom is a polished marble. If you are concerned about your marble floor being too slippery, you will want to consider using a honed marble instead. Honed marble lacks the shiny and reflective qualities of polished marble but is resistant to scratching and less slippery

the bathroom because the naturally occuring iron in it can be brought to the surface by moisture causing orange stains. They claim that sealing the marble will not prevent this from happening. What are you thoughts on this?

Hello Cindy, it is Carrara Marble tile. Our source was Ann Sacks, but there are lots of other manufactures that have similar tile.

thebuilderdepot.com they offer a range of subway tiles for example 3x6" starting from $7.00SF and up to only $8.00SF for the 6x12". Incredible Italian marble for a fraction of the cost you would pay at any showroom. The showrooms as mentioned above sell by "THE PIECE" that is 8 pieces for one square foot
Thanks for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we don't have record of the exact grout color, but it is a light grey that is picking up the mid tones of the marble.
