far does the fireplace surround come out on the floor? The scale of this design is perfect as the fireplace doesn't look lost in the bookshelves. Great job!

661/2 wide , I was told to leavelost 4" top bottom and on sides, I did not want tv above mantle but, lost battle. I love your design recessed which I plan to do. How far into wall did you go and where are tv box and dvd stuff for movies. I have stressed over this. Thank you for any help, Laura
