what did you use for the kitchen vent / food? could you provide some details please....
oof: it's a hodge-podge of stuff. The metallic stuff you see is standard Home Depot stove-pipe stuff. The bracket sticking out from the wall is also standard Home Depot bendable bracket material

hang our pots and pans." It's clear Mace wanted a playful sensibility to live in every nook and cranny of this kitchen. A vintage fan collection, a dustpan made out of a license plate, and a George Nelson Ball Clock are only a taste of the quirky style that Mace infused into the space.

I am guessing soundproof. Is it used to satisfy any residential code?
Where can the industrial looking fan be found/purchased? Thanks! Dan
I am not sure if it satisfies any residential codes. I think it is only for sound and for the look. Thanks for looking!
I like how metal framing was used and then covered with opaque sheeting on one side.
Love the slider door, would love to use to separate rooms too
Metal stud walls for bathroom/ clear paneling
This converted garage was formerly a wide open industrial space. Steel studs were used to frame out rooms, and polycarbonate glazing and plywood sheath the walls.

I really enjoy this residential home, and I am doing a Case Study project for my architect class. I was just wondering if I would be able to get the floor plan and a drawn elevation

What are the pros and cons of metal roofing?
What is the color of this metal roof? I assume they come in multiple colors.
"naturally" turn green the way it used to because, believe it or not, our air quality is much better than it used to be. The green patina results from exposure to acidic rain and our post-industrial environment just doesn't put the kind of polutants in the air that it used to. Most green colored copper
installed that way. A lot of metal roofs are either flush to a solid deck, or coated with finish that deadens any vibration. Most roofs make some sort of noise when it rains, and in fact metal corrugated roofs (“tin roofs”) that were spanning purlins with nothing else beneath (often used as porches) were famous

Where was this metal purchased? What is it called? Thanks
Hi, I would like to do something similar and would like to know where the metal was purchased and what it is called.
hazard. They are fine in hidden industrial areas. everything else looks great.
gabion boxes are used all over for works such as retaining walls in BC. Should be no problem.
The grates (fabricated into the custom stair) were sourced from an industrial metal company in Seattle.
The steel for the stair and the gabion walls were purchased through e metal fabricator/contractor and made into those elements. The steel treads you can purchase at an industrial supplier perhaps, in your area. Good luck!
