Portland Modern Tudor Dining Room
an open dining/ great room area. Will use a rug for great room area, but can't decide if I want a rug under the dining table. The dining area is in front of a very pretty door similar to this that opens to a deck. Will I achieve a more contemporary look without a rug?
love that dining table and chairs, where are they from?
What are the dimensions of the dining space?
I love the design and partial-open concept of the dining room! Can you please share the dimensions of the space?

under a dining room table. It's a more traditional look to have a rug in a dining room.
The dining set is vintage and was found in a shop in Northern California.
The dining room chairs are vintage. You could try ebay. Thanks for the question.

Notice how the armchair’s design is reflective of a typical sturdy build, yet when juxtaposed with the thin legs of the tables and couch, it feels balanced instead

on the dining side chairs where to buy them?
The table is a vintage Danish Rosewood table, so unfortunately is not available. I have seen many wonderful vintage modern tables similar to this so I know they're out there!
Love the whole mid century modern look and the built in bench
I'd love to have a set up like this but is my dining room too big?

Contemporary and cozy are not mutually exclusive. Warm woods, textures, colors and lighting lend a cozy ambience here, while Cherner dining furniture adds a dollop of midcentury modern style.
Have a dining set with an organic feel? Enhance its natural appeal and texture with grasscloth wallpaper to give the room a very indoor-outdoor vibe.

A Moebius side table sets the mid-century tone here. But the contemporary art, bright upholstery and accessories make the room bright and unique.
It’s mid-century retro contemporized by a glass top. Pair it with a neon lamp and brightly upholstered furniture. and the neighbors will go from talking to drooling.

The pop of colour in the cutouts is a great way to add some subtle colour to the room.
Cut-outs. Consider cutting openings into your walls to look into the next room — open space always helps an area feel lighter and airier. For a kick of added interest, paint the insides of the cutouts; they double as an artistic piece.
