Wood counter is a mahogany with an oil type finish on it. Wears well but not for cutting on.
The island has a Teak wood counter with a mineral oil finish. It's safe for food prep but you do have to re-apply once a year.

This looks similar to a fresco finish that was done with a metallic silver paint, such as Metallic Thundercloud

Handsome combination of light and dark. The green in the granite is interesting.
