hi there, ive just got onto this and posted a question about my own house needing a more inviting and obvious entrance, so my quesiton is--any more details on the horizontal 'thing' going around the house---sort of like a decorative eave? Any other details would be great

doors are white with a white topper trim, the box under the window is white(3feet by 3 feet) How to apply the accents. Most colonical red brick houses haave white window, black shutters and a vaiety of white and black trim. Is there a guide line? thanks Judy
find a color in the brick to pick up, use the mortar color. Either way, I think you'll find your house more attractive with a little less contrast. I'm from an area with a lot of this type of architecture, and it's been 30yr since anybody used stark black & white with red brick. Sage green is another
