floor tile isn't the same as a glossy wall tile — before buying, explain to an in-store expert where your tile will be installed. Floor tile has to be safe to walk on, so you want to make sure that the texture and strength of the tile is correct.

I disagree on the size issue. if you have more tiles over the smae area it will make the space feel more generous because of the repetition. If you have large tile and only a few with visible grout, it makes it feel smaller.
small tile, the darker color, and the ceiling tiled is making this shower look smaller.
If you want to make a smaller shower look larger, use lighter colored tiles, larger scaled tiles - like 12"x12" or larger and keep a lighter color on the ceiling as well so it doesn't feel "cave like".
