Chopped Grandbury stone, from Grandbury, Texas. The material cost is around $150/ton delivered to our site in DFW. We budget around $12-$13 per face square foot of exterior walls to buy all the materials and pay the labor to install the stone. The smear is just the mortar that the stone was laid up in,
The smear is just the mortar that the stone was laid up in, and was not completely cleaned off. We used a buff mortar mix which is regular brick sand with white mortar mixed together.
