Where would I purchase a table like this? Is a marble top realy phours?
This lovely countertop / table is made of marble. How has it been treated to deal with the fact that marble is a very porous stone, and thus prone to staining easily? Thanks!

It's Carrara marble and this one came with the cabinet, but you can purchase something similar from many stone counter top sources and have it made.

Is this a 1"x2" herringbone laid Calacatta marble?
Never mind! I found my answer in the second project picture. For those who would like to know, this is a 1" x 2" Carrara Arabescato marble in a herringbone pattern.

you may find on carrara marble are called tension marks. Here at La Pietra marble we are doing more and more carrara kitchens. We recommend sealing the marble with the dry treat sealer, its by far the best sealer out there. I hope this helps. Fabio Figueiredo La Pietra Marble ...

It is Calacatta marble. Try a local tile dealer. It is probably Calacatta "Oro" or Calacatta "Verde". It is a high variation stone, and this mosaic likely runs upwards of $35.00 per square foot unles you buy a chinese imitation marble.
