Project Bunkie

Questions2
I want to put wood board and batten siding on the front of my house. Because my home faces the south and we get loads of sunlight, what type of primer and paint should I be using so it won't blister off after a couple of years and I have to scrape
Hi....my Bunkie was handcrafted by Mennonites who specialize in building bunkies, along with the door style.
I like the color for the house with maybe off white instead of bright white. Shed is nice too as a backyard tool/garden
real possibility turning garage into this mini house

Addition/Remodel of Historic House in Palo Alto
Restored historic living room now used as a library. Windows on right are original. Windows on left were salvaged from the deconstructed part of the house and newly placed in this wall for improved daylighting. Wall was orginally an interior wall, now an exterior wall through which new courtyard is visible
received from my client about the rug -- if you live any where near Palo Alto, CA -- showing them the rug and or emailing them -- http://www.medallionrug.com/ and asking them to see if they recognize this and or have ones that are similar -- is a suggestion. In the meantime -- here is what my client wrote:
Hi- The wood is the orginal redwood (1890's) -ether from this room or salvaged from another room in the house for the walls which were changed in the remodel. Ithas an oil finish which does darken it some. The bookcases are new redwood - also with an oiled finish

The See-Through House

made by a company in Dallas for the original house. We tracked down a small amount of it to complete the renovations. We were lucky to find it because it is no longer produced.
This brick was specially made by a company in Dallas for the original house. We tracked down a small amount of it to complete
Again, the entry -- love the see-through quality and the fact that it bridges the garage and house -- perfect, in my opinion (great and not "look-at-me ostentatious"! Makes my heart sing, actually!
Great idea for the side of the house.
Could be breeze way connecting shop and house
Great layout to guide guests from the front door to the back yard without going through the whole house.

Hi Becky. that would be my guess as well.
narrow trex/locust walkway around east side of house, narrow, and cut out for the big tree.
exterior walkway to this five-story house on a steep and wooded lot is highlighted by the tall reinforced concrete wall on the left. Directly behind it is the interior stair, which is actually
incorporating trees into house is beautiful - what happens as the tree grows?
Also in Texas is this house featured previously in my ideabook on reinforced concrete. The tall wall of concrete next to the entry is softened by the tall tree that rises from the wood walkway. The approach to the house wouldn't be nearly as pleasurable without the tree.
The exterior walkway to this five-story house on a steep and wooded lot is highlighted by the tall reinforced concrete wall on the left. Directly behind it is the interior stair, which is actually supported by the structural concrete wall. The exterior is articulated with horizontal lines and a grid

Questions22
How can I get the floor plan for this house?
Building a home & I love this open floor plan and exterior photos. I would love to get this house plan. Is it available to view & purchase?
I do. If you look as some of the other images from this house you will see that in the next room over we painted the wood ceiling to help lighten it a bit.
Hi there. This is a beautiful house. We're wondering what you used for the ceiling T&G and beams. Thanks!
I'm sorry I don't have the paint color in my files, but it was close to an egg shell white.
We will build for our next house
I wonder if this already in my kitchen idea book. I love this big space. The ceiling is imposing?
