finish you prefer. I know in my area there is one company that will hone slabs, but I think on the whole you have to buy them with your desired finish from the supplier.
Granite Grannies -- I just chose a Sea Pearl quartzite to satisfy my love of "the marble look," but my fear of it's wear & tear.

between a decision either a shaker door, raised panel painted white or a slab stained like yours.Your opinion would be appreciated. I am in between with my decision. Thank you.
and put in shaker style cabs. I now prefer the slab style as I feel that style would have fit my home better. I agree, wood slabs are timeless. My kitchen is very much like the photo here. Although I love my soapstone counters, I think I would go with a lighter countertop if I had a do-over because dark
minimal use of upper cabinets & maximum use of light. The layout is nice, the style is not my taste.

What paint color are the walls? I am trying to pick out a paint for my kitchen and I think that color would work.
I am redesigning my kitchen and only have enough room to put a Kitchenaid French door refrigerator (looks like the same model as yours) in a 37.5" cabinet next to Kitchenaid
flooring, and pot rack were my designs. If I had to guess, I would say 9' x 3'. Hope that helps.
Thank you for your comment! I'm actually not sure since this was a clients home from some time ago. I didn't design the kitchen. My work was the flooring

filled in....it looks GREAT...but my husband literally spent every night painting meticulously for a week. It looks fab though....but I wouldn't attempt this unless you realize first hand how much work this is, or have enough cash to hire the whole job out!
My husband has been bombarded with photos
all my husbands excuses...err, I mean reasons. Which after thinking about, I buy. This type of ceiling really has to be "designed" as apart of a room. Meaning that upon construction (or reno) it had to be known so that all electrical, plumbing and HVAC would be rerouted to other paths. In my house
roofer just said, "well select pine isn't what it used to be" if you get a good painter, then they can cover over all of this..... Well let me tell you, my husband spent 4 full days from sun up to sunset sanding, priming the boards, then putty over imperfections, then sanding again, then 2nd coat of primer

I am remodeling my kitchen. I have white cabinets. I love the counters and backsplash. Can you tell me more details about them and where I can find them.
My walls are a creamy beige, counter
@mjk113 - thank you for liking this design. My best recommendation is to visit your local tile showrooms and granite warehouses. We focused our design on the warm taupe/khaki colors to compliment
similar space to my kitchen, but a bit wider

wish I could afford you. I especially love the colors you used in this space (Jansen avenue) i have viewed hundreds of rooms on this website and in my opinion this is the best space i have seen. i love the flow and really love the livingroom (room with the big picture).
is from a train station in the England and dates back o the 1880's. It is part of my personal collection.,
It was made by my workroom for this leather ottoman / table.
Mr. Abrams, as I search through photos, I seem to always be drawn to your beautiful projects. Most of my favorite living/family rooms are yours. You use prints on curtains. What about the sofa? Is a print too overpowering? How do you work around a print sofa with other prints? Are there
