with wide boards and some small knots for character. Try looking for a local flooring mill in your area, you will find local wood species and can usually get a variety of widths and grades of flooring. Keeping the material local will go a long way towards the cottage feel you are going for.
Here is my current open lr/kitchen. A mid-value grey sectional sofa will replace the sofa/love seat in two weeks. Leaning toward an all grey wall paint palette (one lighter and one almost black). Which walls should be light and which should be dark? Any or better suggestions would be greatly appreciated
appreciated as my painter is due to start next week!

drain board allows for you to place a dishwasher under it. This is a stainless steel sink. We love this sink and have used it many times, in fact Mark has it in his house. But a good stone manufacturer can build integral sinks but I would hesitate to do it in a kitchen, with as much use it would
made by my wife's furniture maker. It was made with reclaimed wood based on an inspiration photo from pintrist. It was a bit flimsy. I would not have it made again. Looks great though!
Flows well and I think, I like the wide floor boards.
