Plain, unsealed walls might be too much wood. Painting them would allow for use of other natural elements without being too much.
Painted wooden walls (a combination of painted wood in the bedrooms and natural wood in the main living areas might be nice)
Rattan furniture. Much like wicker, rattan is a natural material that is used to produce a wide array of furniture. It has a relaxed feel to it, which is probably why I think of summer whenever I see a rattan chair. Add a chair or headboard made of this material to give your room a summery feel.
