would love to have a nature meadow lawn.
Meadow lawn!!! Low maintenance and romantic. Great for a large backyard.
Another look at wildflowers and meadow grasses

A lovely blue bench in the midst of a meadow and garden...
treatment of the grass in this orchard is a great example of how changing mowing patterns can create a meadow lawn. The paths are still closely cut while the squares under the trees have converted to meadow, with an abundance of flowering grasses and the lacy flowers of cow parsley (Anthriscus sylvestris)
a clearing under some treesIt seems obvious, but look around you and make the most of what you’ve got. If a clump of trees in your garden forms a natural canopy, clear an area underneath for picnics. It’s quick, and it won’t cost you a penny!

How's the maintenance on this kind of "meadow" landscape? Do you need to weed periodically, or is it dense eno

Natural landscaping looks so beautiful and low maintenance.
wonderful, wild unmanicured look much more natural!
A self-sustaining meadow is the ultimate natural and low-maintenance garden. Before going crazy with wild grasses and flowers, plant a thick ground cover. This tends to work particularly well in weedy areas, since it prevents weed growth. But be sure to start the ground cover in weed-free soil first
could look hard to naviagate, the tall arbor in the distance suggests otherwise. I, for one, want to meander through the meadow to find out where it leads.Learn more about natural garden design

I’d say top-dress with some nice compost in the fall, since compost can be both a mulch and a natural fertilizer. Letting it soak in over winter is also a smart idea.

You may not have a large yard, but that doesn't mean you can't have a meadow view. No-mow and low-mow grasses are designed to clump softly in waves, like those found in a wide expanse of open grasses, though I've heard them

Calm, screening and simply a cottage style classic approach. British cottage is my favorite as it is the appearance of a natural meadow beside a wood with path yet tamed and only slightly tailored to suit human's purpose.
