building a nook bench as well. I'm looking to find the best depth and height for it?
breakfast nook were kept intentionally small, given the diminutive backyard yard. Space is approximately 4.5' x 11'. Another foot of depth could make a big difference if you do not have space limitations. We added the cut out in the right wall to further open up the space while bringing in more sunlight
The nook comfortably seats 3-4 people. I chose a round table for easy access to the window seat. Day-to-day, there is a larger round pedestal table in place of the antique shown here for photography, which provides more ample surface area and leg room. Thanks for stopping by. Lisa Lisa Kauffman
This nook is "a really great informal and comfortable way to incorporate more seating into the kitchen; seating that has a view outdoors," Horowitz says. As a bonus, it includes extra storage under the cushioned bench. As for the nook's furnishings, Kauffman Tharp says, "I love to use items intended

Chalkboard in bfast nook...maybe a fun color?
Cute nook for fun while cooking!
Place the nook at the end of single line kitchen
love the chalkboard behind the breakfast nook. magnetic too.
really like nook and blackboard; excellent use of space.
breakfast nook. Soft cushions, bright colors and a chalkboard create a kid-friendly zone. As most parents know, this will result in dust chalk on the upholstery, so if you go this route, plan your fabrics accordingly.More: How to Love Your Kitchen More, Right Now | More kitchen guides

Love the nook!!!! So practical and beautiful!!!
I was wondering about the size of the nook itself. How large of a seating area is it? It looks cozy but very comfortable. Thank you for your assistance. Aloha:)

have a nook in my kitchen I am want to build a banquette in, but I"m not sure if it is deep enough. mainly concerned about the two ends, not so much the longer seat across the back.
Nook from their window wall to a wall built in front door
This nook has been autumnized by a few pillows in rich colors and red flowers.
This built-in banquette provides seating for 4 in a tight kitchen nook.
