Thinking of this counter top for my busy kitchen. Worried about the finger prints. My appliances are stainless and Im forever polishing them with an oil based polish. What do you clean them with? Can you buff out scratches? About how much a sqft. can I plan on paying? Any help
No. They're stainless steel and no matter what finish you put on stainless you'll always have some "smudging" - they are, however, very easy to keep clean.
If you're worried about fingerprints and scratches than you might want to consider something besides stainless steel for your counters
While stainless is fantastic for a "real working" kitchen (as is the case in this clients home) it will always, as a material, scratch and show fingerprints. The beauty of this "sueded" stainless steel finish that we used is that is show the aforementioned less than "traditional" stainless steel counters

I am currently planning my kitchen remodel but I have the question above to answer. I am covering the peninsula with stainless for a cooktop, and the main counter will be granite. I hope you can help
how is the seam sealed between the stainless steel and butcher block? What type of glue is used to join them? thanks
material. You shouldn't use any oils as the wood will yellow with age. You should use something like our durable acrylic but if you don't have professional equipment or resources you could use Rubio Monacoat clear natural sealer! Stay away from line seed oil or mineral oils. To keep the top white, it's
Thanks! It appears this stainless falls in the middle of the butcher block..is that correct?
