kind of stove hood is that?
Looks like it could be a vintage one (maybe was originally sold with that type of stove...?) but I've never seen a vintage hood for sale! I don't suppose they make anything like that now?

This kitchen is GORGEOUS!!! So charming and quaint. I love the engraved plate on the hood. Where was it made/ordered? How was it installed on the hood??
This Counter Top is a 3" thick end grain cherry sap wood butcher block made with 1"blocks. I designed this to resemble an old chefs

brick stove surround is a remnant from the home's original kitchen, and was used as a focal point. A 48-inch Wolf range fit perfectly in the space, and Ingram had a custom hood made. Upper cabinetry was left off on both sides of the stove surround in favor of larger windows and wall sconces, which help

The raised counter around the stove?
I like the stove in the middle of the wood table... I don't know if I like it dropped down... and I don't want a rounded island - still square.
The old fir cabinets were made by a local craftsperson. English stained them to match the orange color on the new Brazilian cherry island. Nothing in the kitchen layout is symmetrical — a quirky feature of the original kitchen — so English kept the wood tones as consistent as possible to camouflage the

O'K & M stove come in this RED color in 1947?
I have a 1947 Wedgewood stove that's white. Could it be painted? If so, where would one go to have this done? We moved this stove from CA to MO & would like it refurbished.
kinds of stoves, there are two white ones on Craigs list in Berkley, ca right now. http://retrorenovation.com/2011/11/04/13-places-to-buy-restored-vintage-stoves/
That stove must have cost a fortune! The red...and that size, are very rare. It is possible to have any vintage stove re-enamled in any
about the stove. It can range from $9,000 to $15,000. The original red color is desirable, so a little more money. I don't know where you live, but I highly recommend Antique Stove Heaven who services this piece. http://www.antiquestoveheaven.com Good Luck!

this kitchen. Small kitchen with a small budget. Custom cabinets, old stove, new fan in drywall hood. Playful brackets supporting cabinets and stove hood.
I love those old stoves. Chambers & O'Keefe & Merritt made some fabulous stoves.

I had an even smaller kitchen than this one in a 1980 townhouse in Wellington City, NZ (14 sq.ft). Eventually

love the wood; love the stove (never seen one like it before)
antique stove in this space. My favorite touch is the colander, hung on the wall as you might mount a clock or a decorative object.
Vintage-Style RangesIf you're looking for retro authenticity for your vintage-style kitchen, then you may want to look into a true vintage range that's either still working

Do you know the make and model of the stove ?Thanks
You most certainly can heat your home with a wood burning or pellet stove and Uncle Sam will give you a tax credit for purchasing one (as long as it meets certain requirements). Here is one of many links: http://www.harmanstoves.com/taxcredit/stimulus-tax-credit-stove.asp Chopping your
burning stove you heat your body twice, when you chop it AND when you burn it! The downside of woodburning stoves is that you have enough room to store the wood in a dry place. :) Rhoda
