I know a frame-maker that made old barn wood smooth by treating it with a chlorine solution & scrubbing it (maybe with steel wool?), but I don't know the solution ratios.

Repurposing a salvaged sink
Is this an old one that was refurbished or is a new one that I could find? I have been looking online for this sink and haven't found any as pretty. Thank you.
guessing that there was dark wood trim and maybe the wood trim extended into the next room?? We are renovating our kitchen and would like cabinets like these but I want to have a nice flow into the adjacent rooms, all of which are trimmed in dark oak. Any advice?
for the quick reply! My concern is over choosing a light trim and cabinets in the kitchen that will not blend with the darker trim in the adjacent rooms. I'm feeling forced into staying with stained wood cabinets in the kitchen because of extensive woodwork in the rest of my home. Any thoughts on this

Sad to see a beautiful room posted without any design detail provided.
Do you have the dimensions of the room or kitchen? I'd like to know the length of the wall. Thanks!

designer's vision as a spacious, flowing floor plan centered on an elegant kitchen with a quaint lounging area flanked by a functional family room, living room, and dining room. By creating a functional design within the original exterior walls this allowed our client the ability to add detailed finishes and
kitchen footprint and 8 ft. ceilings, which meant we had to be very strategic with our takeaways and additions to room. To remove the load bearing wall and open up the kitchen to the dining room, we cut the roof trusses and installed a beam flush with the ceiling. The two structural posts were designed
living. This late 1950’s rambler was outdated with sight line issues and included a claustrophobic kitchen that was separated from the main dining room. One of the challenges we encountered was figuring out a way to create an open floor plan with good sight lines while removing the structural obstacles
