I like this old style tub. It's like an antique!
exactly, it has a feel of the old and energy is new, colors for living near the sea, and the tub is so heavenly
tile color, clawfoot tub, old chair
Take it room by room. This short exercise is designed to get you thinking about the mood you want to create in different areas of your home. Pull out a notebook and make a list of each room in your home, describing what feeling you want to encourage
Here is another example of a chair anchoring the space. Choose one that makes a nice contrast to an otherwise monochromatic room. The warm red against the green/blue tiles creates interest.

Love this piece. I saw a similar one at Chesterfields. For the living room? Maybe, or another room.
“Too much of our world today is about buying a certain size, color, and/or style all in one stop shopping …” — Houzz user swampI agree. If you haven’t ever tried antiques shopping, pack up your tape measure and hit the Ye Olde Shoppes, flea markets and even yard sales. I promise

new passion for bringing the indoors out and vice versa: wide windows, sliding doors, patios. The idea was to create a connection with the natural world that worked equally well with a book in your lap during a quiet moment or a cocktail in your hand at a party.

do that in one room, do you have to duplicate in every toom????
how high is the ceiling in this room?
hey great work, how wide is the room? thanx
this room (front living room) was re-painted with Benjamin Moore #2062-40 "Rain Forest Dew”. (the horizontal line is the original picture moulding) I would agree that the architectural trim and certainly their paint schemes can differ from room to room. It all depends on the scale of the room, formality

Recently renovated, parts of this in-town home in Rasteau, France are 800 years old. This living room formerly featured a massive appliqué stone fireplace, out of keeping with the traditional style of the Provence region. A new, simple fireplace and neutral white leather sectional. Photography
800 years old wall modern interior...
the fireplace drywalled....love it; was old rock fireplace
openness. A TV above the fireplace would be great in this room.
Love this room! Clean, light but still warm. You'd think hiding the stone would just be so wrong but it looks great!
Awesome modern reno on an old Provence home! This living room feels so simple and yet so inviting.
AFTER: The fireplace was stripped down to the bare essentials in what is now the main living room. The ceiling in this space had to be rebuilt; it now allows for recessed lighting, unlike most of the other rooms.

Great looking sofa and room overall!
Wooden doors like this one were common in old Indian homes. There carve intricate designs on the wood, and even use brass studs and ornamentation. The antique doors are difficult to find and expensive, but some indian furniture websites may have pieces that that may deliver. If you have someone visiting
Consider a focal point like these old doors. Use in front of electrical panel??
Ah! If the office/hobby room is walled off we could add windows to allow light in and to make it less of a cave. ; > )
lines to a soffit that runs around the perimeter of the room. You can insert recessed cans into the soffit or affix surface-mounted fixtures to the side. (Both tactics are shown here.) This approach lets you raise the ceiling in the center of the room, which you can then light with floor or task lamps to
