durability inherent in well-cared-for tile means it can remain in place for decades, which saves on resources. And if you choose ceramic tile, you can look for recycled-content tiles, like those from FireClay Tile, to boost your kitchen's green cred.More: Compare tile with other kitchen counter materials

Questions10
What is the brand name of the gray tiles?
what a wonderful use of materials in the kitchen. Could you please tell me how the Pierre Brun was used for the countertops? Did you use the largest tiles available, are there grout lines? Cannot quite tell from the picture. I am struggling with countertop material. Bought a new home and must make decision
What is the ceramic cream backsplash tile please?
Here is a link to the Pierre Brun limestone tile collection online: http://walkerzanger.com/collections/products.php?view=mat&coll=Limestone+Tile
Can you tell me the name and color of the backsplash tile behind stove? Thanks
where did the tile come from??
is slab of Pierre Brune (Walker Zanger's name for the brown limestone). I would try to avoid using a countertop material that comes as tile pieces as grout lines get very nasty, quickly. If budget is an issue (and really... when is it not?) Spend less on your backsplash to enable the purchase of a slab
