I have oak wood cabinets and don't like the closed look, I want a more open feel and love the individual shelves I keep seeing. Is there anyone who may have an idea of what I can do while still using my cabinets as to save money and recycling. I was thinking turning them
what is the thickness of the shelves
I am doing a new kitchen and would like to know the depth of these shelves. please help.
Only have open shelves for the things you use daily --- keep the rest behind closed doors . Too many open shelves with kitchen stuff on them just looks
that the shelves are partially enclosed - Without doors to cover them, they will get dusty & greasy regardless.

Didn't actually see an answer as to where you got the ss shelves. Do you mind sharing?
The shelves have held up really well for the client. The tops of these shelves are lined in metal but the bottoms are in white, so we flipped the top shelf so that it appeared that all were all metal. ;) Also, we had taken the wall down to the studs and blocked the wall where the shelves would anchor

attach shelves like this using metal dowels. You attach the dowels to studs in the wall and drill holes in the back of the shelves the same size and distance apart. Using an epoxy to secure them, you slide the shelves into the dowels, and voila.
malvinex! The shelves were part of the cabinetry order. Being full custom cabinetmakers, we offer something like this when designing cabinetry for a room. Unfortunately, we are not set up to section out individual piece orders.
