My house look just like that. I am looking to put a hidden door in one of the spaces in the wood. The square strip of wood will be used to hide the opening when its close. I am looking for some type of hinge to make this happen. I was thinking about push in and out hinge that slide but can not find one
I am doing close to the same thing in my home right now. How mucg vertical space do you have below and above the mantel? How far out does the mantle stick out?

classic or new school, a television will likely be the focal point. Wall-mounting your flatscreen takes a little more time and money, but instantly opens up the room for a variety of design concepts.

Sleek window txs, there is nothing like having the fully open window and yet have the option of closing it. I don't care for the stark white stripe, but it does add nice height to the room.

Really like this kitchen, dark wood about the right stove, maybe a little bigger, like the lighting above the cabinets, would be good for 10ft ceilings I think.

who makes the pendant above the island?
Each hood and stove manufacturer has recommended installation specifications that should be followed. Typically they recommend 30-36 inches above the cooktop. I believe this one is 36"
I like the light fixture above the counter. Very pretty!
Hood, cabinet colors and hardware. Sink, similar counter top but not marble. Island countertop and base color. 48" range. Open cabinets on each side. Backsplash not all the way up on sink wall. Windows behind sink.
Casement windows are featured above an apron sink — perfect for enjoying a crisp breeze while washing dishes.
