is Fountaingrass (Pennisetum alopecuroides) which is just a beautiful grass which takes full sun and just looks amazing when the wind blows (it "dances" in the wind). There are dwarf varieties available as nursery stock so you can use it in all kinds of yards. The other looks like yellow cornflower
