Please be kind enough to inform me the type of wood used on the open ceiling, and perhaps if possible the stain used. We are waiting patiently for your answer and our contractor is ready

Do you like the longer rectangular style of sink and that it's place horizontally? I'm considering a 14"x7" sink placed along length of our 3'2"x 7' island- this includes 12" overhang on 2 sides for seating. Not sure if this will work for the size of the island. Comments?
