Hi deewigi - The stones are tumbled bluestone and they are thick (average about 2-3") and heavy so once set, they do not move at all. They are not the usual patio flagstone, but are intended to be stepping stones. They have soft, rounded edges. If you use a more
more standard patio flagstone which can have a thinner profile & lighter weight, you can set the stepping stones on mortar to keep them from rocking in the gravel. For this path, the gravel is 3/4" clean crushed granite to a depth of about 3". Area is lined with heavy weight commercial weed cloth with

psarivap -- did you look at Eldorado Stone's Ashlar in the Santa Barbara colorway? ... It looks pretty similar to me, maybe set tighter with a grout color almost identical to the stone. Good luck!
