I wonder about the safety of having a heat device under the TV. Does the fake fireplace emit heat?
Heat under TV
Mid Century inspired living room
HDTV like any electronic appliances generate heat, it's worse with plasma TV. Did you encounter heat issues from your enclosed TV? Does your design involve a "Chimney" within the wall or did

The heated towel rack and placement of shower
shower door should be flush with floor Towel warmers are nice. Also frameless glass and inset shelves for shampoo. Corner seat is nice but should be heated The glass reaches the top so this could make a nice steam shower.

I have a regular fireplace and it really doesn't do very well as a heat source.
Like how you can see the fire and perhaps get some heat from it. Like the look..Pellet Stove set into a fireplace

I have floor to ceiling marble fireplace wall and have the same problem with the heat rising, so I can't hang my picture above it. What is the material the mantle is made of and where can I purchase something like this?
Thanks for your question. Mantle height recommendations vary by each fireplace model and their heat output. Refer to the manufacturer's specifications.
It is not a sound bar but a very shallow mantle. It's basically there to ensure heat from the fireplace is pushed out and away from the back of the TV.

stoves are sized partially according to the amount of space you're heating. This home was actually just featured in a magazine I was reading and it's quite a small house--this is a good half of the home. It wouldn't need to be large to heat that small of a space.
The new wood stove is centrally located, allowing heat to flow up to the loft bedrooms and warm up the open living space. The reclaimed wood flooring is a variety of species, and the spiral staircase and blue kitchen cupboard were picked up at Vermont Salvage. The old doors and tub were purchased at Mason

We are considering a similar configuration for our double ovens and television. Are there any concerns about the heat from the oven affecting the function of the tv?
dining room, the basement, the garage, or even in a bedroom closet (a vent was added on an outside wall). Keep in mind that you can get some noise and heat from these units when deciding where to put them. :) Rhoda http://www.billfryconstruction.com/
