I'm curious to know how you selected this shade of gray. I'm going through this process for our bedroom and baby room, painted several
likely gets decent natural light during day but somewhat dark in the evenings. In both rooms we've painted Balboa Mist (BM), Repose Gray (SW), Alpaca (SW), Classic Gray (BM)....so far no luck. We're not yet living in the house but have most of the furniture elements already from our previous home

We are painting one accent wall in our master bedroom a very dark brown (expresso-like). Our tray ceiling has 12" vertical walls and has no crown molding (although the room itself does have crown molding). Our painter thinks all 4 of the vertical walls of the tray should

If you paint a stripe of contrasting color around your walls can that make the ceiling height look shorter. I already only have 8' ceilings.

The trim is Gettysbur Gray in a satin finish. The walls are French Canvas, flat. Gary Dresser Dresser Homes
color as your stripe would actually do the opposite. It would "belt" the room and that's where your eye would go to. Whenever you change colors mid wall, I recommend using trim as a transition. In order to make the ceiling seem taller, you need to take the color above the trim and wrap it to the ceiling
