Renovating and I have a popcorn ceiling that I want to cover. Thought aboutceiling tile, but I love contemporary.
Styrofoam ceiling tiles are very easy to install, and do not require contractor help. They are very light, easy to cut, and a very easy DIY project.
This ia a very traditional look and you would need an experience finish contractor to order and install plasteer ceiling. Expensive to do.

molding, not your typical molding. its a lowered "lip" about a foot in width that goes all around the ceiling. so basically you got the ceiling and as you approach the edge to the walls the ceiling drops about an inch or half inch creating a border of some type. I can email a pic but not sure how toto

The original tin ceiling tiles were nailed to wood on the ceiling, but you know, these things were done way back before contact cement or double-sided tape were invented. There are also embossed wall coverings that would mimic the look of tin tiles. Lots of ways you can get a ceiling to look like this

What color is the brick painted?
What color did you paint brick and did you texture over it or something?
It's actually not painted brick. It is a product from Boral Bricks called "Pastel Cote", which is a product meant to go over brick. It's thicker than paint...almost like stucco. I think they may have discontinued this product however.
was the brick painted over or what was the method?

and match pieces crafted from craggy wood, patinated iron and tin, and woven branches and grasses. Painted furniture suits this style as well, especially when it bears sanded edges or a distressed texture. For upholstered furnishings, choose natural, durable materials such as leather, cotton and burlap
