How are these floors holding up? Or how do painted floors hold up in general?
entire floor with 2 coats of finish.
Painting a wood floor can be a less expensive alternative to refinishing your floors. What's great about painting wood flooring is that it works just as well for modern homes as it does for traditional homes. It's a pretty simple process that just takes a little
sand the floors down with either a floor sander or a hand sander. Remove the excess dust with a wet mop, and allow the floors to dry. It's best to use an exterior grade paint, and if you want real durability, I would suggest and oil-based enamel. You may want to prime the floors first. I suggest waiting

The floors are a vintage oak purchased from Custom Floors Unlimited in Houston, TX.

white oak floors. Tip: Beware of selecting wood colors based on photos only! The lighting of a photo can drastically change the true color of a floor (of everything for that matter). Make sure to see a sample in person, and make sure to get a current sample. In this image, the left side of the room looks

What color stain did you use on the floors?
Very nice design, wood floors are superb. However, the sideways corbels on ends of bench look improperly utilized. Meant for a vertical a

Is the floor wood stained in a diamond pattern, or a tile?
this floor. Anyone know how they did it?
Oh my I tell me more I love the floors!! Whats the material and where can I find it???
like a wood floor with alternating stained squares.. I'd use a 1lb cut of dewaxed shellac as conditioner, dye whole floor with lighter color, 2# cut of shellac over that, dry, mask with frog tape, make glaze coat of darker stain using a alkyd glaze base, a satin paint and some Penetrol in a 4:1:1
like the floors are a faux bois with a coat of polyurethane. I can't make out where there are any lines for individual floor boards, but maybe I'm wrong? I'm in the process of redoing my own bathroom and was looking for gray/white combinations. This floor stands out so nicely against the pale shades

shower the floor needs to slant towards the drain. Can this be done in a renovation? If so, how?
is this a wood floor in the shower --
Obviously underneath the teak is a shower pan or a slope towards the drain. Is the whole bathroom floor is covered by a membrane of some sort? I the rest of the floor raised?
what is the color/make of the floor tile?
What is the tile on the floor of this bathroom? What color is it?
Love the wood... what kind and what is the stain?
Where can I buy the wood mat?
likely a wood grate floating over a recessed tiled floor with a drain below. Teak is a good wood for this sort of design, it's an oily wood that handles wet places better than most, but will still need to be cared for.
