One thing that worries me about the pergola you have suggested is it has an angled roof towards the back neighbors. I like the idea of the angled roof because it blocks their view of us. BUT it also blocks our view of the backyard. What about if we built the pergola with a flat roof and then about halfway
halfway to the back wall built a single trellis matching the pergola style with a swing. We would have Michael make the height so that it would block the view of the back neighbors upstairs window looking down on us. This is a geometry problem that I would need to explain to Michael. It would be
