The water based adhesive caused your very dry wood to swell and eventually crack. I would not have used anything less than 1.5" material, personally. Also, I would have used a lock miter in lieu of a standard miter. Just a carpenter's perspective. I would consider using a trowel applied wood flooring
Use space beneath stairs as a special retreat. With treads nearly the size of trees, this substantial set of floating stairs meld beautifully into the side wall. In this setting, the cantilevered stairs leave open a sitting area underneath the stairs, a perfect little hideaway to read a book. Cantilevered

plywood. As far is whether or not you need a headboard for your bed to look good or complete, then absolutely not essential. This all depends on your personal preference. I like the minimal, low profile effect that comes with no headboard. The design is all focused on the bedding and everything around
duvet extra large so that it will cover the frame and go to the ground. Here is a nice example of that: http://www.houzz.com/photos/24300/living-space-eclectic-bedroom- On the subject of this photo, I really like they way the throw pillows have been modified into an almost headboard. With no headboard
Again, the window is the main point of interest in this space, so a grouping of art is placed off center to balance the weight of the view with the rest of the room.

I have a few questions if you would be so kind. What is the color and spacing of grout on subway tile? What is the name of the cabinet hardware? Finally, what color is the finish of the floors? Really beautiful design!

only 1 shower for 2 persons
Lol if you had enough space the bath could be the same size as a living room.
I like how it all matches, it is big, looks like wasted space to me. Not real fond of the toliet area

Wall sconces have to be integrated with art or furniture. They frame and highlight the items they are surrounding. On a staircase they should be spaced evenly at about eye height. I do prefer closed ones on staircases, so you don't look down on the bare bulb.
Here, crystal walls sconces provide accent lighting with sparkle. This shimmering light adds an unexpected twist to the understated, modern space.

i like the feel of these cushions. Personally I would make the cushions bigger so there aren't as many seams.
This is a good representation, but with brown wood beams under brown sawn plywood ceiling . Also, the rafter beams will be about 5' spaced apart, coming of the diagonal hip beam.
love the warmth of the wood and light colors in this space

It is a quartzite called 'Venus'. It has the appearance of marble and has navy blue and orange veining. Stunning to see in person. Slabs were provided by AG&M just outside of Austin
