flow between spaces. We applied customized classical detailing and luxurious materials over a modern design approach of clean lines and state-of-the-art contemporary amenities. Materials include integral color stucco, custom mahogany windows, book-matched Calacatta marble, slate roofing and wrought-iron
the area will probably look better. See if you can incorporate the arch in the built-in. http://www.houzz.com/photos/456823/Citrus-Bloom-traditional-dining-room-boston http://www.houzz.com/photos/87146/Case-Design-Remodeling--Inc--contemporary-living-room-dc-metro
in, I'm sure you'll get plenty of input. This isn't exactly your situation, but here's a photo of an asymmetrical fireplace wall with a window on one side and a built in on the other: http://www.houzz.com/photos/458890/Living-Room-traditional-living-room-los-angeles

Really nice space--tailored, clean, yet still warm. The counters look like honed absolute black granite (love honed granite) and the wall color looks similar to Sherwin's Latte/6108 or Perfect Greige/6073. Always hard to pinpoint in a photo, but both are great colors
Here is the photo of the dining room. The fixture we used for the dining was also a Pottery Barn fixture. http://www.houzz.com/photos/119388/Dazzling-Dining-Room-traditional-dining-room-seattle
We did use a coordinating fixture above the dining table. If you look at the other photos in this folder, you will see it.

I love the TV above the fireplace! I'm trying to figure out how to do this in a nice clean finished look like your photo. Where do you have your cable box and dvd player? Don't the wires need to connect to the TV?
Big fan of the low mantle (so the tv isn't too high) - cant tell if its an illusion in the photo though. anyone know the actual height? also, what is typical height? im used to seeing much higher mantles.
cabinet that houses the electronics and sits above the fireplace or under the television. It's sleek and can be in place of a mantle like you see in the photo above.
I like your colors, but was wondering what the color is on the wall with the photo?

You can't see it in the photo but I am very interested in knowing what to put in this area. We have a similar type niche and shape of stair case and the opening goes to the ceiling
We love this stairway and upper hallway but need to budget for this job. How much would re-doing the stairway/hallway in the photo cost?
benzeroyce, would you please post this question on a relevant photo? Thanks.
Warren, please see the other questions for this photo. I provided a cost estimate previously. Thanks.

Here's one I love for the creative use of space: http://www.houzz.com/photos/154838/Historic-House-traditional-kitchen-austin And I think this one may be the smallest I've seen, and also beautiful: http://www.houzz.com/photos/819559/Gramercy-Park-Kitchen-contemporary-kitchen-new-york
For small kitchens, I like galley and U shape layouts. If you search small kitchens in the photo section of Houzz you'll get 119,926 hits. How's this for small, but functional? http://www.houzz.com/photos/114489/Harlem-Apartment---Kitchen-eclectic-kitchen-new-york
Complement the design. “This space was designed to allow for art, and we wanted something that was a singular piece, says Nadia N. Subaran of Aidan Design. “The palette for the home’s pool kitchen was inspired by the exterior stone, and we wanted the transition from outside to inside to be as seamless
