kathydowling I have used Passive SW7064 in my great room/kitchen and up my stairs and it is beautiful. I am looking at either Argos SW 7065 in my living room and dining room and also for a more bold look, Cityscape SW7067. These are small rooms with amazing light and beautiful white columns and molding and they are small rooms that lead into my great room and kitchen so I want them to blend.

2. Choose a single stand-out piece and then let it ... well ... stand out. One red accent table has all the more impact in a room with a monochromatic gray color scheme. Adding any other red in the room would dilute the effect.

If you decide to choose gray as your neutral, I think it looks best in warm shades that lean toward taupe.

The tree seems lost over in the corner. Plants are by nature herd-beasts, they seem to be most effective and happiest in groups. How about we add one to the table under the lamp, another on the shiny coffee table, another on the orange table-thing, etc. etc. Put them in colorful containers, no more worries about boring!
