Basement remodel - Absolutely beautiful, finishing my basement now, love the color on the wall? Can you tell me what it is? The couch? Love that also. »
How do get to the couches? - The only area that seems accessible is behind the couch on the left by the doors, if so what is the distance from the wall to the couch? »
A viewing room doesn't have to have special architecture. A big screen and lots of comfortable seating are really all you need (oh, and blackout shades).
4. Movie-Night PartyOscar night is February 24 in 2013. It's a great time to focus on movies. This is a gathering my kids love. This works great if you have a media room or just a big-screen TV. Make tickets and collect them at the door when the kids arrive.
3. Georgia media room in soft blues. Even a small basement can be put to good use. Fill it up with cozy furniture and soft colors, as in this room, and you have a dedicated movie-watching space. The wood wall adds a subtle architectural element.
"We added an additional natural finish of reclaimed wood on the walls," he says. "We then used crisp, clean paint finishes and furnishings for contrast." The media room is a cozy, enclosed space, enhanced by ceiling runner beams. The family enjoys many movie nights in front of the projection screen.

where the tv is mounted here it would go above the fireplace and the brick would remain- I just wanted to show the cozy vibe that I am trying to put where the stairs are currently obstructing.
This is almost EXACTLY how I would envision the new family room space in the basement. This room has great seating space and a room for the TV. I wouldn't mind a little more storage space but this is otherwise perfect.
