Is it odd to have the entry to a bathroom on a wall that faces the back door entry to a house. We are thinking of moving the bathroom entry due to a kitchen remodel. there is a small open entry area into the house attached to the kitchen but the bathroom door would be across the entrance on the facing wall. I am concerned it would be an issue but I am not sure. »
Bud Dietrich, AIA I've always been of the opinion that the door to a bathroom or powder room shouldn't be visible from any entry into the house. It's just never the view one wants from an exterior doorway. Sometimes it's a tough nut to crack but just keep noodling some sketches until you do.

3. Power wash paths and siding. Giving your home's exterior and paved areas a power wash can be nearly as dramatic as repainting, for a much lower cost. Rent a machine from your local hardware store if you don't have one.4. Maintain green lawns. Sad, neglected lawns are a major turnoff to potential buyers. Maintaining a healthy lawn from the beginning with regular care is the least expensive route, though laying new sod can be worth the dramatic improvement in curb appeal if you don't have time to start from seed.
