What is the yellow used here? - I'm remodeling 3 baths and kitchen from the walls out in our new home. Although I've lived happily with 1/2 saturation of Kelley Moore's old Sourdough, a rich but mellow yellow with a hint of orange, in my current home, I think the new home merit's a different tone. So most of the new house will be a 1/2 saturation of Benamin Moore's antique white with just enough color to contrast with Kelley Moore's Swiss Coffee trim. To my eye, both of these colors also have a touch of yellow. The bathrooms and kitchen will be shades of gray. But especially in the kitchen, I'd love to see some happy yellow, at least around the kitchen nook. Not sure about an accent wall since there'll be a TV on the only wall, and the other two are mostly window and too exposed to the street even though we are set back.
I keep thinking of cafe curtains, in yellow. The house was built in 1946 so that is technically the appropriate era, but I'm not really going retro anywhere else.
Any suggestions about bringing in some yellow, like the one in this picture, and at the same time solving the exposure issue? »
