ART SHOW — June 9, 2012 The Tappan Collective Group Art Show and Launch PartyThe Jeffries Building, 117 Winston St., Los AngelesTwo young creative graduates from the University of Michigan have teamed up to provide an online platform for others to discover emerging artists. To kick off their new web venture, they're putting on a launch party featuring artwork by photographer and filmmaker Gia Coppola (photo), photographer Clara Balzary-Flea, The Stillhouse Group and many others in downtown Los Angeles. Enjoy refreshments, meet the inspiring entrepreneurs behind the site and take home that perfect piece for your blank wall. Hours: 7 p.m.–11 p.m.

Chateau Marmont Photograph, Gia Coppola

Gia Coppola is a photographer and filmmaker. She has shot for Japanese Vogue and co-directed a short film with Tracy Antonopoulos for Opening Ceremony starring Jason Schwartzman and Kirsten Dunst. Gia’s talent has also captured the interest of fashion prodigy Zac Posen, who chose Coppola to shoot a film for his latest collaboration with Target. Gia is currently working on directorial work and resides in Los Angeles.
