A shoji screen-inspired guardrail separates a play area in the upstairs level from the family room below. It was made with translucent glass so that light can pass through, but any untidiness from the playroom remains concealed.

On the second level, stair railings resemble shoji screens.

Translucent glass works especially well in an application where the overall feel is more about light and not transparency.

Living Room- I like the small L-shaped couch because I think it would be able to better complete with look of my living room without adding in too much stuff. The coffee table is good too, but I dont' like the chair for this look and I would have it farther spaced away.
