door! - any details about the cool paned wood-glass door?

The galley kitchen functioned just fine for the client, it just needed an update, as it was all about linoleum and a gargantuan '80s microwave. Kristen refurbished it with new appliances and cabinets, and says “I felt that Carrera marble reflected modern times...but the original cooktop was so cool that we had to keep it.” Cabinets stretch all the way to the ceiling to maximize storage.
The iconic Starburst clock by George Nelson is another piece featured in MoMA’s collection.
As you can see, this door allows the hallway to borrow light from the kitchen, but when closed it keeps the cooking smells from the rest of the apartment.
This apartment is next door to The Museum of Modern Art, and the Starburst Clock was a choice from the MoMA's archives. The color of the wood works with the beautiful Asian-inspired wood and translucent glass door.
Mobile furniture is essential for a studio. Since everything needs to be multi-functional, pieces that can move around easily are a bonus. This little cart is great for kitchen prep and storage, but can also be wheeled into another area for use as a serving table or drink stand.
The Suspended Glo-Ball is the first light that fooled me. Perhaps because it first caught my eye in this New York City apartment that is filled with midcentury icons culled from MoMA's archives.
Accessorize your kitchen cart. Open shelving that houses purely functional items can benefit from good-looking containers. Try open bins for napkins and small tools, and a wide basket for sheet pans and cutting boards.

I like the idea of a small portable island- more like a roll-around cutting board. This might work better than the small island in the existing kitchen

I think this is all I need for my kitchen.

Wheeling table on narrow kitchen wall (the one you reserved for the black bookcase); would have multiple uses....for cooking and maybe dining for extra people.
