This pair of table lamps features square white shades. I like how these lamps balance the round shade of the pendant overhead. Tip: If the pendant were square, there would be a lot of rigid corners in this room. Keep in mind you want to balance out the square shapes in a room (think of all the doorways and tables that already have cut corners) with some round shapes to keep it interesting.
no tv just like at your parents and also what we have done for the past 6 years.... a communication room based on talking and playing music.
the tv cuts people interactions this is wrong in many ways. the big tv should go downstairs..
i dont like my parents set up cause its too bulky in the face tv where you loose to much time staring at it... me first
this is the ideal set up
Like the two different sizes. Have the shorter one closer to the door. Also, my making it into two, makes it more practical in the future if you have to split sideboards
liking much about this, realizing that color palette is REALLY important to me....show me anything but blue, gray, taupe, and brown..I am not open....yet
Pendants can be hung lower in the center of a room if there is a piece of furniture placed below it, such as a coffee table. This creates a dramatic look that is also functional, with no fear that someone will walk under the fixture and bump their head! Can also highlight light against dark fireplace
is is me or has the combination of blue and green come back in style- not saying I like it but it is everywhere- my parent's house was blue and lime green done by Jan Jonesin 1972
