Remodel of 1980's Home - Kitchen

This 2-story modern home was custom built in the late 1980’s for the owners.
They are avid cooks and were tired of working in a dark, closed-off space with little natural light that could give them little aesthetic enjoyment. The kitchen is now a fresh, open space, with granite countertops, dark cherry stained cabinetry, a contrasting pigment-stained island for added working space, and large windows that provide a panoramic view of their wooded lot, as well as letting in natural light. They can now enjoy making their favorite recipes in an inviting, light-filled environment. Photo by Andrea Rugg.
