Garden spaces this looks like real stone, probably limestone I live in one and I am now renovating. I love the look and would like to expose my exterior walls like this.

A little more casual is this vine covering a patio space. Look for a plant that will provide shade through most of the outdoor season. Your personal style will dictate if you want greenery only or some color provided by flowers.
