jiewen Love the door! My hallway is dark, this door is beautiful and it would allow lots of light come into the hallway. Is it a custom made door? Thanks!
Hugh Jefferson Randolph Architects The door is not custom made. It is a standard type commercial storefront metal door. There are many similar brands. Typically they are aluminum frame.

Where can I get frosted glass doors like these?
I have a space for pocket doors between the master bath and toilet area, and the toilet area and laundry room. Frosted glass would allow privacy for the toilet and light from the bath and laundry room. In our mid-century/contemporary home, a wood door with a frosted insert brings the style down, not up. »
The entrance to the master bedroom is dramatically addressed with floor to ceiling frosted glass framed in black steel. The design remains inviting through the addition of small pops of color from the vase of flowers and a canvas hung above the bed.

Randolph used a translucent glass door to "let in the light and create less of a barrier." The frosting provides some privacy; total privacy was not really needed because the buyers were empty nesters.
Thanks so much to Hugh for sharing this beautiful home with us today!

Opaque glazing is a good way to lighten a dark hallway or landing without sacrificing privacy in a bedroom or bath. If you have an existing solid wood-paneled door, consider replacing one or more of the panels with frosted glass.
I love how bright and warm the room is. The black furniture really stands out with the light floors and walls, and the colour of the picture also makes the room more vibrant and welcoming.
