vanity - Can you please tell me where to get a modern vanity that is not too expensive. I like the Ronbow Venus with white marble thin top but it is a little pricey. »
Sea Interior Design This is a full overlay shaker door. We carry this door style but most dealers in your town should be able to get you a vanity like this and should not break the bank. What may lower the price is if you go with a Standard overlay. This means you will see more of the frame of the cabinet than the one on the picture; but with this nice Espresso color that shouldn't affect the look at all. You will save about 15% if you do that, all manufacturers are priced differently though, and there are other factors that affect the price.
wmri Thank you so much. I saw one with a similar top but it was a Ronbow and it was a little out of my price range but very well constructed. I am still exploring other brands.
I have a bathroom about this size except I have tub instead of shower and my fixtures are reversed. How do you decide whether to go with a dark or a light vanity? I have not been able to resolve the issue?? »
Charmean Neithart Interiors, LLC. I personally like high contrast in a bathroom. Dark cabinets to light countertops or dark cabinets to light floors. I don't consider the color of my kitchen cabinets to the bathroom cabinets, but I do think door styles should be consistent. Hope that helps.

From my many conversations regarding our bath redo... I've been persuaded to not go with a marble countertop / floors because of durability and maintenance... but I always find myself back looking at it. I would love to use it in our bath which will have a cabinet similar to this one with a white tub and white subway tiles.... Is it really that difficult to maintain? will I be sorry I chose it over a granite countertop and porcelain floor? I would love your thoughts. Thank you !!! »
John Lum Architecture, Inc. AIA Marble is really not that difficult to maintain. I wouldn't suggest it for a child's or young adult's bath, but for a Master or guest bath it is a wonderful surface with wonderful aging characteristics.
Holly Conrad Smith If you are getting a marble top custom-fabricated, ask about the new dupont sealer that is guaranteed against staining for 10 years. Marble really isn't so hard to maintain in a bathroom. Mostly soap will be on it, which doesn't hurt the surface at all. Just avoid using any abrasive or acidic cleaning products--I have heard far more problems from using the wrong cleaners than from normal use.
What is the depth of this vanity? - I also like the rectangular sink basin. The vanity looks a little shallow. Any idea of it's depth? Also with a rectangular sink could you use a close spread, one piece faucet rather than the 3 separate pieces 8" spread? Our space is limited and we can only go with a 24" vanity. »
