This house leaves the foundations exposed with the raw concrete as I was suggesting along your driveway. It looks like they've used a special formwork though to acheive the horizontal "board" texture in the concrete. Michael is good with concrete, and could perhaps work with his foundation sub to achieve this if you like it. I don't know what the cost increase would be though.
