John Lum Architecture, Inc. AIA I'm sorry, but I'd need to dig into archives for the exact color, however, almost never do you want to use true white. It can be very harsh. Benjamin Moore Professional paint selections have an incredible range of whites to choose from, that can compliment just about any color scheme.
kserles Hi John - Thanks for your response. By "fillet" do you mean thickness of the wood? The baseboards look fairly tall - 5" maybe? We are redoing a tired 50's side split which is actually a great living space once it's opened up! Thanks again. Karen
John Lum Architecture, Inc. AIA Karen - by fillet, I mean the rounded edge on the outside of each board. Basically a radius. This particular job does have a taller base 1"x6" but general I like to keep the baseboard more in the range of 1x4 for a more modern aesthetic.
Fireplace - Hello.
This is a beautiful bedroom.
Could you please tell me what kind of fireplace you have inserted? Is it gas low profile? Id love the model if you would share please.
Thanks!

5. Natural WoodMany people believe all original wood trim is sacred. It is not. High-quality, well-maintained wood is beautiful, but feel free to paint over natural wood if that's your cup of tea. It's just a matter of personal taste.Wood trim can look great in a modern space like this one, where it adds some earthiness and architectural interest to a plain, contemporary room with white walls.
One side of the fireplace it could be like this.
First face Plain Gypsum board and later you can stick somethig
The other face of the fireplace as you like.
I bet no one likes this. Everyone thinks of that cheap ole plywood trim from the 50s , but this is what I'm going to do in my modern condo....only with a dark, rich textured wood.
