david phillips The project was completed late in 2008, which my records no longer exist for the product selections. My best suggestion is to select and print the best photo, then bring it to a local / retailer, who should be able to help you find a color you may be satisfied with on your project.
The wood is mahogany, so it would be best to try a number of stain samples on that species.
You painter should discuss the steps to properly finish the door.
Including of a sanding, applying a stain sealer, the actual stain color +/- two coats and the final coat.
We did provide two final coats of satin urethane, after the door was stained.
The finish should be provided on all faces, along with the bottom of the door to resist the weather.
david phillips .
the stone for the project is common new england fieldstone. it has been installed with the mortar "raked" out to show the stone's prominence. the stone appears to have been installed as a "dry-set" wall, using no mortar, but the stone mason's ability to select and place the stone, secured to the structural exterior wall, with minimal exposed mortar. the stone is approximately 6"-7" thick.
I would recommend that you show your builder, and mason the photo and visit the stone yard to obtain the stone products in your area. if you review the photo, the window sills are 2" rock faced blue stone.
I would also recommend the builders mason provide a 48"X48" sample wall for your approval prior to order of any materials.
david phillips The overall with form the left of the garage to the right side master suite is 90'-0" wide.
The overall depth of the house from the front of the garage to rear extended great room is 99'-0" deep.
The first level square footage is 3,543 square feet not including the 611 square foot garage.
The second level square footage is 1,986 square feet including the floor space of the dormers and the floor space above the garage. The total living space 5,529 square feet.
The plans are the the property of the owner and are not available for submission to review.
david phillips The main landing area, where you would be standing, is 5'-0" deep which is covered by the roof, with an overall dimension of 8'-6" for the full landing and steps. The width of the space is 12'-0" wide.
Although I do not have the specific ordering information to complete your question, I can provide the following for your review. The mahogany door and sidelights, including the frame and threshold were all custom made locally in the Boston area. The actual door size is 42" X 90" X 2 1/4" thick, the sidelights are 21" X 90" X 2 1/4" thick with tempered glass. The sidelights are separated from the door by 3 1/2", call a stud pocket, which is covered with 3/8" mahogany. All the "white" trim is AZEK, which was custom milled both off and on site. The door has four 4" X4" hinges and was shipped with the sidelights in the mahogany door frame. All other components were installed separately in the field by the finish carpenters. The door hardware is a mortise lockset manufactured by BALDWIN.
david phillips All of the exterior windows, both "standard size" and "custom units" are PELLA brand windows. White clad exterior with a wood interior, which was painted to match the interior trim. The windows are known as SDL : simulated divided light. The mullion bars are attached to both the interior and exterior side of each window sash : SDL.
The windows are LOW-E double glazed units. You can review more specifications, sizes and obtain additional information at the PELLA web site.
david phillips i have update information on most of the photographs within the portfolio. the exterior trim is a azek product, which was painted. i do not have the specific paint manufacturer, or code number in within my file to be able to completely answer your specific question. the trim color may call navaho white. the side wall shingles were a MAYBEK brand red cedar shingle [r and r], which was pre-dipped then second coated in the field. I do not have the specific standard color number, which you may be able to find a color similar with this information. the roof is also red cedar shingle roof, which has no finish. the cedar shingles show that they darken with age.
david phillips The stone is call New England field stone. Common to the area, but the size and color is based on the quarry you purchase the stone. I would work with your builder, and the masonry contractor to review the products they have available, and suggest a "sample" wall be made for your review +/- 48" X 48" prior to the final order of the produces.
david phillips I do not have the information you are requesting,
The project was completed late in 2007, which my records no longer exist for the product selections.
My best suggestion is to select and print the best photo, then bring it to a local / retailer, who should be able to help you find a similar product.

LIKES: the front entry with the white columns/bird nests, arched transom is appealing - would have to be scaled for our entry which is smaller; of all the stone coloring this comes closest - but the stone sizes are too large
