jooney Hi Kelly, I am interested in design for my master bathroom for now, I have two more bathrooms that I am going to remodel after the master and I need help with the design there too.
Thank you,
Could I see a close up of the drain and how the mosaics fit around it? - Do the floor mosaics need to be cut or did you use full squares to accommodate the square drain? How do you clean the drain? »
Custom Home Planning Center Problem result from improper seal around lights and non waterproof tile backing. Always use exhaust fans with a humidity switch outside of the shower to limit mildew
jsw33624 Love the color and presentation of these hand made tiles. Can you tell me how I can purchase them? I would love to use them in a kitchen remodel I plan to undertake within the year. Thanks, and congrats of your lovely design.
KellyBaron Thank you for your compliment! The tiles are a hand made ceramic ) not glass as someone has incorrectly posted) . The series was called "avignon". . The colour is "olivier" . I think they have been discontinued . I really can't imagine why as they were probably some f the most beautiful tiles i have ever used. I purchased at Walker Zanger in Los Angeles. I recently saw something similar but not exactly the same. Hope your kitchen project goes well!
Are the "woven" tiles difficult to keep clean? - i was wondering if you found that the raised edges of the tiles attracted dirt and mildew or were difficult to keep clean. its really beautiful. thx! »
Crown Molding Concept - Can you tell me what kind of tiles were used to create the crown molding "effect" between the wall and ceiling? Are these the standard chair rail type tiles with one on the ceiling and one on the wall? Beautiful concept!! »
KellyBaron The crown molding you see is actually base molding turned upside down & fabricated with a chair rail to achive the substantial effect of the crown. Both are creme marfil marble.
KellyBaron The field green tile is the "avignon" series from walker zanger. It is a ceramic hand glazed tile. the colour is "olivier". The mosaic tile is "green onyx".
If your shower or local code requires a 3-inch drain and waste line, consider a larger traditional drain like this one shown here. These higher-flow-rate drains can handle much more water flow and don't sacrifice on style at all.If you want a more custom-looking grill, Designer Drains makes replacements for many of the standard drain grills out there.Tip: In Canada, shower drains and grates should not be chrome plated, to comply with the guidelines of the Canadian Standards Association.
like the color of this tile and the way it is finished with the walls and floor. Discontinued color tile: Avignon series, color oliver. Find something similar?
who is the manufacturer of the shower hardware?
