Ojanen_Chiou architects LLP The photo was taken a few months after the cabinet installation. The red tone is from the natural wood and also from the early morning soft light. American cherry is the most common red-brown one. Brazilian cherry has darker tone.

If you don't actually need the lower cabinet space under your window, consider creating an entire wall that opens. It's a more expensive proposition, to be sure, but there's no need to carry food outside when the kitchen can literally become part of the outdoor space. This is an example of folding doors that do not have to be in a huge space. Like the way they built a retaining wall for the doors. Maybe could use this out side the redesigned family room.
