BeautifulRemodel.com Hi Rbthat, while I like the clean look of the flat stock by itself (and use it on projects frequently) it does create a dust trap on the top, more than if it were a profiled molding. Both will need periodic cleaning of course, but the flat stock more frequently.

That's exactly what I was thinking! But I think the flat style is more appropriate for what I am trying to accomplish. I think just the flat board and no shoe molding. I am so use to adding the shoe molding after the base is already installed and the customer doesn't want to remove it to save money. But I have to admit it looks very nice in this application!! I could add it and leave the top plain my wood floors are white wire brush which allows the natural wood to come through,
